DrugValue Symposium: Saturday May 5, 2018

In conjunction with GRADEconf, a clinical guideline development workshop using the GRADE approach, this symposium will discuss how to implement an evidence-based decision-making process into formulary selections. This symposium is supported by the Evidence Foundation, the U.S. GRADE Network, and the Department of Pharmacy, VA Medical Center, Cleveland.

Whatare the conference objectives?
  • Explain the rationale for applying a rigorous methodology, such as GRADE, to the formulary decision-making process for high cost drugs
  • Identify key stakeholders in your organization to participate in drug coverage decisions regarding medications with high cost impact on your operations
  • Formulate a plan to integrate evidence-based methodologies (e.g., evidence rating systems; evidence to decision frameworks, etc.) into your organization's formulary decision process
